Recall Course - Adults & Teens

Just like polite leash walking, recall is one of the most important behaviours you can work on with your dog. It allows them to better enjoy the world around them but also keeps them safe.

What do we cover?

Over the six weeks of one-hour sessions, we introduce the fundamentals of a solid recall and begin to proof it around distractions. Along with the core work on coming back to you when called, we work on required supporting behaviours such as responding to their name, asking for permission first, self control, coming away from distractions, and good outdoor engagement. both when asked for and not.

We are focusing on building the foundations of a solid recall so that you can build on it in all different distracting situations moving forward.

We always follow scientifically verified, aversion free training and behaviour techniques. There are no harsh methods or tools throughout. At all times we follow the code of ethics of both the APDT and IMDT.

Your notes for each session will be sent to you via email after the class.

Who is this course for?

This group course is designed for dogs aged 6 months and up who need help with coming back when called.

This course is not suitable for dogs who are overly excitable on leash, who do not engage at all with people when out and about, who are reactive towards dogs or people, or who are excessively fearful. We have other suitable courses, training, or behaviour work for these cases.
